Thoughts on "What I talk about when I talk about running" by Haruki Murakami

I did not find the book very interesting, perhaps because I am already a runner, and have had many of the same thoughts and feelings Murakami meditates on in this book.

What surprised me was how unpleasant it was to hear his internal monologue just before or during races, but it was interesting to realise that this is very much what goes on in my brain when I exercise.

This is the first book I've read by Murakami. I think if you're a fan of his, this book offers some glimpse into who Murikami is and what his life is like. It also sheds light on how he got into being a novelist.
